INTERLIBRARY LOAN FEES

WHEN IT IS FREE

• Most transactions are free because of resource sharing agreements.
• The library pays all copyright fees for interlibrary loans.
• There are no service fees for processing requests, except for Rushes.
  (Please see User Fee Schedule, listed below).
  

RUSH SERVICE

• Rush service is $10.00 for articles and $10.00 for books.
  (Please see User Fee Schedule, listed below.)
  

WHEN IT IS NOT FREE

When libraries charge us:

• The library accepts a charge up to $15.00
• For any charge that would exceed $15.00 -
• the patron will be contacted for pre-approval of that portion of the charge over $15.00
• if approved by the patron, this amount would be assessed to the patron’s Safari account

USER FEE SCHEDULE

User Type	Service	Possible Costs
Students Faculty Staff	Journal Article Book Book Chapter Conference Paper Thesis	A lending library charge for an item is subsidized up to $15.00 by the CWU Library. An item with a lending charge over $15.00 will require pre-approval from the patron before it is ordered. If pre-approval is given (for an item charge over $15.00), the patron will then be responsible for all charges over $15.00. For example, the lending library charges $20.00. The charge to the patron's safari account will be $5.00.
